Sergiu Bus has spoken of his delight after scoring a double in the development squad’s 2-2 draw with Brentford at Middlewood Road.

The Romanian striker, who has featured just twice at first-team level this season, claimed a late equaliser after Montell Moore had twice put the Bees ahead yesterday.

Bus told The Star: “It was good to score two goals. I tried to do my best. I haven’t played 90 minutes for a long time so that was very important for my fitness levels and good to get it under my belt.”

Out-of-favour defensive duo Claude Dielna and Darryl Lachman were also handed starts while trialist James Demetriou partnered Bus up front.

Substitute George Hirst was denied a last-gasp winner by a fine save.

n Owls; Dawson; Booker, Lachman, Dielna, Wildin; Penney (Nicholson 51), Kirby, Clarke, Meadows; Bus, Demetriou (Hirst 79). Substitutes: Beatson, McDonagh, Centeno.
