Brentford manager Uwe Rosler has praised the contribution of Sheffield Wednesday loanee Martin Taylor since arriving at Griffin Park.
The 33-year-old centre-half has scored two goals in four matches since joining the League One outfit on a temporary basis at the beginning of September. His initial one-month loan stay was set to run out yesterday but the two clubs agreed to extend Taylor’s loan deal until November 3.
Taylor was on target in the Bees away wins at Tranmere and Coventry.
Rosler said: “Martin [Taylor] has been our best defender over the last three games by a mile.”
It was in August 2012 Wednesday signed Taylor for an undisclosed fee from Watford. He made 12 starts and one substitute appearance for the Owls last season. But Taylor, out of contract at the end of the 2013/14 campaign, has not played for Wednesday since mid-February.
Wednesday have granted Taylor permission to play in Brentford’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie at Peterborough tonight.
