Sheffield Wednesday take on Portuguese side CD Nacional in their fourth pre-season friendly tomorrow night as they continue their preparations ahead of the new Championship season.

*They were founded 105 years ago.

*They play their home matches at the Estádio da Madeira.

*They play in Portugal's top-tier, finishing 11th last season.

*Their fierce rivals are Madeira neighbours Maritimo.

*Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was on Nacional's books for two years as a youngster. The club have since named their youth training facilities Cristiano Ronaldo Campus Futebol.

*Nacional gained promotion to the top-flight in 2002, finishing in third place on the second division with 62 points.

*They made their Europa League debut in 2004. Nacional have since played in the competition a further four times.

*They are currently managed by Manuel Machado.

*Nacional are playing two Championship sides in as many days. After facing Wednesday in Albufeira, they will then lock horns with Fulham on Monday.

*Wednesday signed Marco Matias and Lucas Joao from Nacional last summer. Matias and Joao bagged 11 goals between them in their first season in English football.
