Owls hope new website will click with fans

WEDNESDAY are close to making it easier for fans to buy tickets and merchandise from the club via the internet.

The Owls say that new software will come into operation on July 14 and make their system more user-friendly and efficient.

The club are also abolishing a 1.50 fee that they charged for each ticket bought on the web.

Chairman Lee Strafford says that in the past it has been too difficult for fans to get what they want from the club online.

In future a redeveloped website will allow supporters to buy tickets, merchandise, products and services in one visit to the site, with no charge for tickets bought this way.

Supporters will also be able to view online the seating plan and select seats of their choice.

During next season the club will also be developing the ability for spectators to see, on the internet, the view from each seating area.

The new systems and the recently introduced TeamCard loyalty card will help the club to arrange priorities for big games where supply cannot meet demand. Fans will also be able to use to card online to earn and spend loyalty points.

The website will also be developed to offer hospitality packages and events tickets in the near future, say the club.

Chairman Strafford, said: "For too long it has been too difficult for our supporters to access the tickets and products they want online and our new, fully integrated, web platform will provide a truly fan-friendly customer experience.

"It is vital that our supporters have easy access to what they want from the club and this new system will make it a simple process to buy tickets, merchandise, products and services in one visit to our new website."

He said the Owls want fans to be in control of how they interact with the club.
