Sheffield Wednesday's Capital One Cup adventure heads to Staffordshire tonight as the Owls take on Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

Tonight’s tie will be the first time the two clubs have collided since March 2008. The Owls are unbeaten in their last four tussles. You have to go back nearly 13 years for the last occasion Wednesday lost at the Britannia Stadium. They also hold the slight upperhand in the head-to-head record, winning 37 of the 89 clashes in all competitions.
ONE TO WATCH
Eyebrows were raised when Stoke captured former Barcelona’ youngster Bojan Krkic in the summer of 2014. The diminutive forward, who has one Spanish cap to his name, has netted three times in nine Premier League starts this campaign, having recovered from a cruciate knee ligament injury. His vision and silky footwork troubles defences and Stoke’s supporters have really taken to the Spaniard. Has previously enjoyed loan spells at Ajax and AC Milan.
MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Mark Clattenburg: The County Durham whistler has brandished 68 bookings and two red cards in his 17 matches this season. Premier League official Clattenburg last took charge of an Owls match in February 2014 when the South Yorkshire club missed the opportunity to book an FA Cup quarter-final showdown with Steel City rivals Sheffield United, losing 2-1 to Charlton Athletic at Hillsborough.
