FORMER Sheffield Wednesday hitman Steve MacLean is aiming to be spot-on for his new club Yeovil tomorrow.
MacLean, a fans’ favourite during his three-year stay at Wednesday, is already off the mark for Town, having netted a brace, including a penalty, in last week’s loss at Preston. Penalties were a MacLean trademark at Hillsborough; of the 35 goals he scored (2004-2007) 13 came from the spot.
After the Preston game, he said: “I had to have a couple of fights to get the ball, a couple of the young lads wanted (to take) the penalty as well. I might have got a couple of black eyes just to take it but it was nice to score!
