This time last year Michail Antonio was nursing a groin injury and had no chance of helping the Owls in the fight for Championship survival.

But this year he can do his bit in the club’s attempt to finish the season with a flourish.

Stuart Gray, who will soon be sorting out his squad for 2014-15, regards the winger’s return as being like a pre-summer signing and says he frightens defenders.

“We lost him for the back end last season; he was a big loss for us; he got nine goals then we lost him for almost the last two months,” says Gray.

“It’s been start stop for him this season. The pleasing thing is he’s back, he’s bubbly, it’s like having a new signing. He’s so enthusiastic on the training ground.”
