Beevers in line for award
TWO promising young footballers, Mark Beevers and Mark Devonshire, have been short-listed for a national award.
Beevers, who has made such an impact in his first team appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, and Mark Devonshire who is with Barnsley, are among the half-a-dozen listed for the Wickes Young Apprentice Trophy.

Beevers, 18, has played the last seven games for Wednesday in centre defence and made a dozen appearances this season.
Devonshire, also an 18-year-old central defender, has not figured in Barnsley's first team but has been playing in the Reserves.
Wickes have linked up with the Football League to recognise the best Young Apprentice in the Championship. The other four are Anthony Acheampong (Cardiff), Lee Hills (Palace), Joe Mattock (Leicester) and Tommy Smith (Ipswich). The winning player wins 5,000 for his club's youth development programme.
