Much of the talk in the build-up to today's South Yorkshire derby between barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday has centred around the return to Oakwell of former Reds striker Sam Winnall.
The 26 year-old scored 48 goals in 115 appearances for Barnsley before making an eyebrow-raising switch to Hillsborough during the January transfer window, much to the anger of his former fans.
Those supporters were looking forward to seeing Winnall back in Barnsley today, and not in a good way, but Carvalhal who had Gary Hooper returning from injury, admitted that his forward is not guaranteed a start.
"We have more players available we have attackers - in this case we have Nuhiu available, Fletcher, Gary Hooper, Sam Winnall, and Rhodes, they are all available to play," he said.
"It is not necessary that Winnall will start the game. Our decisions all the time we chose a player that can damage the opponents and not too much think who will play or not play. I am not telling you whether he is playing or not but when we take a decision it is the best for the team. If he plays or if he is involved in the game we are absolutely sure he will just be focused on the game and the things he must do."
