Away results must improve

GARY Megson, pictured, is under no illusions Sheffield Wednesday have to rectify their away form to be a genuine force in League One.

On the road, the Owls boss has overseen just two victories in 14 league matches since his appointment in February.

“We have got to be a lot more solid and resilient,” he said. “We went to Charlton and got a good result so we need to build on that.

“Hopefully once we pick up a result away from home we will start to shape ourselves up a little bit.”

He is urging his players to get their noses in front, a feat they have not managed away from Hillsborough at Bournemouth, Bury or promotion rivals Charlton. Wednesday have lost just one match under Megson when they have opened the scoring.
