Survival plan is working, says Evans
CHED Evans last night predicted that Micky Adams’ no-holds -barred regime could tip the balance for Championship survival in Sheffield United’s favour.
Evans, who also credits a move to the country for helping him rediscover his form in front of goal, told The Star: “Things have definitely gone up a notch during the week. And I think that’s good because it’s how the game is played at this level.
“There’s a good tempo.
“It’s rubbing off on us. Okay, we need to get some wins under our belt now, but I think there are definitely some really encouraging signs.
“I’m not ignoring the position we’re in - nobody here is - but at the same time I’m confident that we can get out of it if we keep on working hard.”
United, who are 21st in the table, return to action when Leicester City visit Bramall Lane on Tuesday evening.
Evans, a £3 million signing from Manchester City, added: “I didn’t do myself justice to start with but I plan to make up for that now.”
Meanwhile, United season-ticke-holders can gain free admission to Sheffield FC’s Evo-Stik Division One South fixture with Grantham Town at the BT Local Business Stadium tomorrow (kick-off 3pm). Passes must be shown at the turnstile.
Former United striker Nathaniel Foster recently joined Chris Dolby’s side.

Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 07:41 PMLaffing you're banging your head against a brick wall with that comment mate because the blunts have selective hearingreading!! LOL Donnyblunt.... Yeovil have won 4 out of their last 6 games so not exactly push overs are they? Same as Exeter they've been on a bit of a run of late. Mind you talking of us being in a poor league we scored 5 past Hartlepool and they beat you lot 2-0!!! Imagine where the blunts would be in our division..... Hopefully you'll find out next season!! LOL

Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 06:38 PMBUT Donnyblunt it's not us Owls saying we're a massive club that's hovering above the drop zone in division 2! You're rubbish but yet you all get excited when you draw! NOW THAT'S EMBARRASSING. Good draw for Palace today they've caught up the mighty blunts hahahahaha We're 5 points from the play off places with 21 games to go, just got our confidence back with a win in the FA Cup. Blunts lost last game, confidence at an all time low, teams like you once in a rut find it hard to get it together. PS Donny we can beat Bristol City.....Can you lot? hahahahahaha

Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 01:50 PMS2 Blunt you really are a muppet, typical blade blame the ref, bame this blame that, take a look closer to home sunshine and stop looking for someone else to carry the can for your teams poor performances. And if anyone of your truffle hunting pals can translate your ramblings it would be appreciated we may be then able to hold a proper conversation. Did I just say that a proper conversation with a blunt that would be a fooking miracle
