Sheffield United seek new players
KEVIN Blackwell is hopeful of adding to his Sheffield United squad ahead of next month's opening npower Championship fixture against Cardiff City.
Blackwell, who has brought six new reinforcements in over the summer, saw his side beat Notts County 1-0 in their final pre-season friendly away from Bramall Lane.
He included defensive trialists Jean Calve and Kerrea Gilbert in his side at Meadow Lane. Both players impressed in the right-back position.

Blackwell said: "I was pleased with the amount of chances we created.
"We knew it would be a tough game but we started very well and created numerous chances.
"I thought their goalkeeper, Rob Burch, made four or five top class saves and on another night it could have been four or five nil."
Meanwhile, ex-Blades and Everton midfielder John Ebbrell has been appointed the new centre of excellence manager at Tranmere Rovers.
