Sheffield United have sold Lyle Taylor to Scunthorpe United for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the newly promoted League One outfit.
Blades boss Nigel Clough said: “It didn’t quite work out for Lyle at Bramall Lane but he heads to Scunthorpe with our best wishes.”
Taylor arrived at Bramall Lane from Falkirk last summer and made 25 appearances, scoring twice, before moving to Partick Thistle on loan for the second half of the season.
The move reunites him with Iron boss Russ Wilcox who coached him at Bournemouth.
Taylor said: ““It’s a fresh start for me and I’m looking forward to starting training with everyone.
“It didn’t quite happen for me at Sheffield United but that’s football, unfortunately.”
