Former Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has predicted Ryan Hall will make a big impact at Bramall Lane after arriving on loan from Leeds, writes James Shield.

Warnock, who spent eight years in charge of the South Yorkshire club, was responsible for awarding Hall his professional debut with Crystal Palace seven seasons ago before luring him to Elland Road.

“Ryan only ever has one thing on his mind,” Warnock told The Star. “And that’s to get at defenders.

“He loves to run at them and has got good pace so he can cause them problems.”

Hall, who signed a month long agreement with David Weir’s side, made his first appearance for United against Preston North End last weekend. Despite finding himself on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline, the winger brought a fresh sense of purpose to United’s attacking play and is expected to feature at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Warnock, who parted company with United in 2007, added: “Ryan might not do too much in terms of tracking back but, going the other way, he really puts a shift in.”
