SHEFFIELD United romped to a comfortable win in their JPT tie at Notts County tonight.
Shaun Miller, the Cheshire born striker, put the buoyant Blades ahead on 24 minutes.
His effort from inside the penalty area found the bottom left corner of the goal.
Then in the dying embers of the half, Harry Maguire headed home from inside the six-yard box, after good work from Ryan Flynn.
On 51 minutes, it was game over with Miller adding to his earlier strike, from deep inside the penalty area.
County fell apart.
And two minutes later it was 4-0, with Maguire getting his brace.
With 16 minutes remaining Notts finally found something for their fans to cheer about; Jordan Stewart converting past Long.
Hamza Bencherif might have got another back but he headed over the crossbar.
But it was a decent night’s work for the Blades.
*United boss Danny Wilson had rang the changes for tonight’s cup clash.
Darryl Westlake, Chris Porter, Shaun Miller, Matt Harriott and Jordan Chapell were all given places in the starting line up.
Tony McMahon, Dave Kitson, John Cofie, Nick Blackman and Kevin McDonald were all given the night off.
