TWO of Sheffield United’s senior players will have to be on their best behaviour over the next month.
Right-back Tony McMahon and midfielder Kevin McDonald are each one booking away from an automatic two-match suspension.
So far this season, the duo have accumulated nine yellow cards. If McMahon and McDonald have received 10 cautions by the second Sunday in April, a ban would apply.
To escape punishment, McMahon and McDonald have got to avoid collecting cautions against Stevenage, Brentford, Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United, Walsall and Swindon Town.
Instrumental central midfielder McDonald picked up his ninth booking in the victory at Oldham Athletic at the start of the month.
England Under-21 international defender Harry Maguire has got seven yellows to his name.
