Tony McMahon and Harry Maguire are nursing injuries ahead of tomorrow’s visit to Coventry City, Sheffield United manager David Weir has revealed.
McMahon missed Tuesday’s Johnstone Paint Trophy fixture against Hartlepool due to a thigh problem while fellow defender Maguire damaged a knee during the second round tie.
David Weir, speaking before he parted company with the club yesterday, said: “Tony wasn’t available for the Hartlepool game so we’re working hard to try and get him ready for this match instead. Harry took a knock in midweek and it’s swelled-up. So we’ll see how he does but it’s a case of just waiting and seeing how it responds really.”
