Relegation-threatened Sheffield United have today let defenders Marcus Williams and Darryl Westlake leave Bramall Lane on a temporary basis.
Williams has joined Scunthorpe United on loan until New Year’s Day while Westlake has moved to Mansfield Town until January 5.
Left-back Williams, who has not played for United since August, began his professional career at Glanford Park. The 27-year-old could make his second Iron debut against Torquay United this weekend.
Westlake, who has made seven starts for United this season, is poised to make his Stags debut versus Morecambe on Saturday. United, fourth-from-bottom in the League One, have inserted a 24-hour recall clause on the right-back after the first month of his loan.
