WILL Bournemouth get a Blades backlash this weekend?
Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson will certainly be expecting a positive response from his players on Saturday following his reaction in the aftermath of the win that got away at Colchester.
Wilson was angry over what happened at both ends of the pitch and in the middle as well.
He said they not only wasted chances but also missed opportunities to put the ball into the Colchester area.
In addition, he said their passing tempo slackened off and then a lack of concentration - “someone switching off” he described it - led to the home side’s equaliser from a corner.
The Blades boss used the term ‘looseness’ and so, in view of all he pointed out, he will be expecting some tightening up all round when Bournemouth arrive at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
Certainly he is demanding that the side is more clinical when the opportunities come around.
“We should have put that game to bed,” he said. “You have to be more ruthless.
“People say you could have had four, five or six but a 1-0 win is good enough - it’s about getting the three points,” he added.
“Yes, we know we can play but we are talking about winnng.”
Bournemouth have opened their campaign with three draws in the three League One games - all of them 1-1.
