League One side Sheffield United could confirm their end-of-season retained list tomorrow.

Nigel Clough, the United manager, has already revealed striker Chris Porter and midfielder Ben Davies will be offered new contracts. Porter notched 11 goals in 36 outings following a brief spell at Chesterfield as Clough’s men finished seventh. But he is out of contract this summer, as is Davies, whose deal is expected to run out shortly at Derby County.

Clough, who is hoping to bring Livingston striker Marc McNulty to Bramall Lane, is also eager to extend the stays of Mark Howard and Ben Davies. However, defender Darryl Westlake is unlikely to be part of Clough’s plans for the 2014/15 campaign.

United have yet to finalise any pre-season warm-up matches. The new season begins on August 9.
