Sheffield United won't be bringing in any new faces but co-chairman Jim Phipps wasn't downhearted.
United had made a bid for Fulham central defender Dan Burn, however the signing failed to go over the line.
But Phipps pointed to a summer of transfer dealings which has seen Billy Sharp, Conor Sammon, David Edgar and Martyn Woolford arrive at Bramall Lane and declared it in a tweet as 'a good window'.
He tweeted: "It now seems certain we are not going to get the final deals of this window over line. We have had a good window with great additions.
"We had hoped to do a couple more, but each deal is three party deal & we control only what we control.
"So, let's keep it positive. We are doing well. We have a top, top manager in Nigel Adkins and a team that is united."
