Mal Brannigan, Sheffield United’s managing director, today confirmed the club has experienced an increase in season ticket sales ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.
Brannigan, expressing his delight at news that this summer’s figures outstrip those reported at the same stage last year, also reminded supporters that the deadline for ‘early bird’ discounts expires next week.
“We are delighted with the number of renewals,” Brannigan said. “We think the figures reflect the optimism for next season following last season’s strong finish under new manager Nigel Clough, the FA Cup run to Wembley and the recent additions to the playing squad.”
“It will be a special time to be a season ticket holder and be part of Sheffield’s Red and White,” Brannigan added. “Our season ticket offer has something for everyone in the year that the club celebrates the past and focuses on its future.”
The early bird scheme, introduced following United’s climb from 21st to seventh in the League One table and progress into the semi-finals of the FA Cup, enables adults to reserve places on the Kennedys Kop and South and John Street Stands from £305 and £415 respectively.
The deadline for purchases at this special rate is 5pm on June 30.
Further details on pricing, benefits and payment options can be found at www.sufc.co.uk or by visiting the box office at Bramall Lane.
Purchases can also be made by telephoning 0871 995 1889 with a £2.50 booking fee applicable.
United return to competitive action against Bristol City on August 9. (Kick-off 12.15pm).
