Chris Porter is looking forward to re-establishing his partnership with Shaun Miller and bases it on past experience together.
“Shaun is a really intelligent player and we’ve worked well together in the past so hopefully we can do that again,” said the Sheffield United striker.
“We seem to understand and read each others’ game well and I enjoy being out there with him. It’s a good partnership.”
The pair were in the same starting line-up on some eight occasions last season just before Miller’s knee injury on Boxing Day and had nine goals between them in what was a prolific little scoring spell for United.
However, Porter acknowledged there is a fight on for an attacking spot.
“There’s real competition for places up front here,” he said. Lyle (Taylor) has done really well and likewise Marlon (King).
“If we can all keep doing well then that can only be a good thing for the team in general. If we can all keep pushing each other then hopefully that’s going to drive on our performances.”
