Sheffield United continue to drift in Sky Bet’s League 1 promotion betting after failing to beat Fleetwood on Saturday.
The Blades remain fifth despite extending their winless run to three games with a 2-1 loss but are now 13 points off second-placed Preston, with their odds on going up consequently out to 5/2.
Their losses are proving to be their local rivals’ gain, with Doncaster and Barnsley just three points behind in sixth and seventh respectively.
Rovers are now 16/1 for promotion after drawing 1-1 at Gillingham, while the Tykes have been cut from 40/1 to 28/1 after beating Walsall 3-0.
Chesterfield drop down to ninth, having sat out the weekend, and remain 16/1 shots to go up and 9/2 to finish in the play-offs.
In the top goal scorer market, Blades frontman Matt Done is 9/1 to top the charts after taking his tally to 16 for the season by netting against the Cod Army, with Swindon’s Andy Williams favourite with 20 goals to his name.
Looking towards the Sky Bet Championship, promotion is still thought to be beyond Sheffield Wednesday with odds of 200/1, despite reducing the gap between themselves and the play-offs to 12 points with their 1-0 win at Blackpool.
Rotherham took a significant step towards safety as they won 2-0 at Huddersfield and are now out to 11/2 from 5/2 in the relegation betting.
