SHEFFIELD United centre-half Harry Maguire could return to action against Hartlepool tomorrow, manager Danny Wilson has confirmed.
Maguire was forced to withdraw from the midweek fixture against Chesterfield after contracting a virus.
But Wilson told The Star last night: “Harry is scheduled to take part in our last training session before we travel up there.
“We’ll see how he feels and take a look at him then but hopefully he should be okay because it’s not serious.”
Maguire, who has started all but two of United’s matches so far this term, was replaced at the heart of defence by the on-loan Matt Hill.
Wilson spent 30 months at Victoria Park earlier in his managerial career. United will head north second in the League One table having beaten John Sheridan’s side 4-1 two days ago.
Striker Richard Cresswell is also expected to declare himself available for selection after sustaining a facial injury during the second-half.
“Hartlepool fans are loud and very loyal,” Wilson added. “It can be an intimidating ground but with the amount of supporters we’ll take it could feel like we’re at home.”
