Lyle Taylor has revealed how Nigel Clough wasted precious little time stampting his mark on Sheffield United’s first team squad after being appointed as the League One club’s new manager last month.
Taylor, a summer signing from Falkirk, is among a clutch of players whose form has improved beyond recognition in recent weeks.
Although the centre-forward attributed Chris Morgan’s brief spell in caretaker charge with helping to galvanise United following a wretched start to the season which saw them win just once in 14 games, the 24-year-old also traced their upturn in fortunes back to the Redtooth Academy.
“Training has been a bit different,” Taylor said. “It’s shorter.
“The sessions don’t last as long as before but they are perhaps more intense.”
