Former Owl Mark Bright thinks the Blades will ‘choke’ tonight - but Unitedites appear to be in optimistic mood ahead of the second leg against Tottenham.

Bright grabbed the extra time winner for Wednesday against the Blades in the 1993 FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

And in giving his prediction on Twitter for tonight’s Capital One Cup semi-final second leg at Bramall Lane, he had a gentle dig at his former Steel City rivals.

Bright tweeted: “#thfc no clean sheets in last 11 away games, #sufc always choke at semi finals. Its Chelsea v Spurs final 4me.”

While Bright may be expecting victory for Premier League Tottenham - who lead 1-0 after the first leg - optimism, or at least hope, abounds among Blades ahead of kick off.
