OLDHAM boss Paul Dickov says he trusts Lee Croft completely after the midfielder denied claims he abused a ball boy during Saturday’s Sheffield United game.
Police and the FA are investigating an incident towards the end of the 1-1 draw.
Dickov said: “I’m never going to condone anything like that but, knowing Lee as I do, I trust him completely.”
A close eye-witness, John Welch, told The Star: “Croft put his face very close to the ball boy. It wasn’t fair on the ball boy who looked like he was crying. The reaction of the crowd nearby was astounding I have never witnessed such as fierce reaction to such an incident.
“Many of the crowd came down to remonstrate with Croft. It looked very serious.”
