Collins pens new deal

DANNY Wilson, the Sheffield United manager, has described Neill Collins as the perfect example for Bramall Lane’s young professionals to follow after the defender signed a new contract at Bramall Lane.

Collins, aged 29, has put pen to paper on a deal which runs until at least 2014 with the club retaining an option for a further year.

Wilson, speaking ahead of tomorrow’s League One fixture at MK Dons, said: “Neill was exemplary last season and he has begun this one in the same form.

“People can learn a lot from him as his application, both on the pitch and in training, is exceptional.”
