City run doesn't worry Blades - Morgan

CHRIS Morgan has insisted Sheffield United will not be intimidated by Bristol City's formidable record at Ashton Gate.

United's latest opponents have not lost a league match at home for nearly a year and are determined to extend that record against Kevin Blackwell's side this afternoon.

But after helping his team mates return to winning ways against Peterborough last weekend, Morgan vows: "With all due respect to City I don't think it's about them. I think it's about us.

"They've got some good players and they're clearly a good team. But then so are we.

"It's always an awkward game down there because they make it tough and their fans really get behind them.

"But we will want to impose ourselves on things, not let them dictate things to us."

Injuries have exposed the lack of numbers in Blackwell's squad, with Henri Camara, Lee Williamson, Derek Geary and Ched Evans all rated as doubtful

Camara tweaked a hamstring after scoring the only goal of the game against Peterborough, and Williamson and Evans have contracted a virus.

Geary is struggling with a muscle strain but the problem is not related to the knee condition that kept him out for 15 months.

Morgan, however, believes United do boast the depth of character to prevail against opponents who, in 10th, are four places above the visitors.

Citing Blackwell's notoriously intensive training methods as the reasons for their 'never-say-die' approach, Morgan added: "The one thing you can always say about us is that we are always in the game. Whether we are doing well or badly we always give ourselves a chance and for me that comes down to what we do in the week.

"The gaffer and Speedo (Gary Speed) drive us hard and that's what they want to see."
