DANNY Wilson wants the talking over Jordan Slew’s future to have ended before the season starts.

DANNY Wilson wants the talking over Jordan Slew’s future to have ended before the season starts.

“We have been talking a great deal, there have been protracted negotiations,” said the Sheffield United boss.

“But we want a result at the end and we want this to be sorted out before the season starts, that’s what I’m looking for.”

Slew, who made a handful of appearances, has been linked with Fulham but is still under contract at United and Wilson will be expecting him to make a push to confirm the potential he showed last season.

Slew is likely to figure in United’s opening friendly against Sheffield FC at Dronfield on Saturday (3pm).

Wilson will take a mixture of youth and experience and a number of the FA Youth Cup Final side should figure.

Blades duo Kingsley James, 19-year-old midfielder or defender, and left-back Phil Roe, 19, have joined ex-boss Micky Adams at Port Vale.
