Sheffield United were cut from 4/1 to 100/30 for promotion by Sky Bet after getting their push back on track.

The Blades were in danger of slipping out of the play-offs places heading into the clash with Preston on Saturday, but ended their six-match winless run with a 2-1 victory.

That win saw them cut the gap between themselves and their visitors to nine points but, with leaders Bristol City thumping Notts County 4-0, they are 28/1 to win the title.

The Football League sponsor now make the Robins 11/10 favourites for finish top with Swindon, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Fleetwood, out to 4/1.

Seventh-placed Chesterfield remain outsiders to go up at 12/1 despite making it 10 points from the last 12 available with their 3-0 win over Port Vale.

Doncaster are also unbeaten in four but are even longer odds at 25/1 for promotion and 8/1 to make the play-offs, despite being just five points adrift, while Barnsley, with two points less to their name, are 18/1 after beating Yeovil 2-0.

In the Sky Bet Championship, Sheffield Wednesday were cut to 16/1 to be playing Premier League football next season after winning 2-0 at Nottingham Forest.

At the other end of the table, Rotherham are just 15/8 for relegation following their 1-0 defeat at Brentford.
