Sheffield United go into this weekend’s FA Cup semi-final as outsiders against Hull and, arguably, due a change of luck having lost their last four games at this stage of the competition to Leicester City (1961), Wednesday (1993), Newcastle (1998) and Arsenal (2003).
But,having already knocked out four sides from higher divisions so far this campaign, they are unlikely to fear the Tigers who must do without Cup-tied strikers Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic for Sunday’s game.
Hull have won only twice in their last 17 meetings in all competitions against the Blades and the 9/2 with BetVictor for a United win might look very big come six o’clock Sunday night.
Jose Baxter is 9/1 and Chris Porter 10s to score the first goal at Wembley.
But the Blades will have to watch out for Hull defender Curtis Davies, 20/1 to score the opening goal, despite the fact that he has scored first in the Tigers’ last two FA Cup matches.
Don’t expect there to be many goals and the Blades to win 1-0 is a best priced 13/1 at BetVictor.
United are 12/5 to qualify for next month’s final.
That is whether it be in 90 minutes, after extra-time or after penalties.
