Shaun Miller, the Sheffield United centre-forward, believes he could be forced to wait until Christmas before recapturing his best form.
But Miller, who recently recovered from a serious knee injury, is still determined to be a positive influence both on and off the pitch at Bramall Lane.
“Physically, I feel fit and in really good shape,” he said. “But obviously being out for such a long times does have an effect in terms of sharpness.
“The joint itself has healed really well. And you read lots of stuff about people having similar surgery and actually being stronger for it.
“Football-wise, though, it’s just a case of working hard and getting back into the swing of things.”
