FORMER Sheffield United midfielder and professional boxer Curtis Woodhouse is back on the training ground and leading from the front.
The 32-year-old, who was named Sheffield FC manager two months ago, oversaw his first training session earlier this week. Woodhouse, who coached at Lincoln City last year, passed on tips to his 24-man squad ahead of their practice match with Hallam tonight.
Ian Whitehorne, the Sheffield FC general manager, told The Star Woodhouse is revelling in his new role, saying: “He has thrown himself into the thick of things.
“Being an ex-professional, he is more than aware of what players like and they don’t like.
“He is not asking them to do anything he can’t do. Curtis has got a great balance of making training hard work and enjoyable.
“He wants them to come in with smiles on their faces.”
