A SAM Agar hat-trick laid the foundations for Edlington Royals’ 5-2 Doncaster Highfield Property Sunday Alliance League Premier Division win at ACS.

David Poppleton and Paul Bradley also netted.

Bullcroft Sports & Pastimes saw their lead trimmed back to five points after being held to a 1-1 draw at Adam & Eve. Second-placed Athletico Pegler, who have a game in hand, beat visiting Acorn 5-4. Robert Allan (2), James Batchelor, James Naylor and Dan Reid shared out the Pegler goals with Craig Trewick, Liam Hughes, Daniel McNeil and Danny Hurley repling for Acorn.

Third-placed Bentley Top Club (Aaron Cordan, Michael Attard) were also held to a 2-2 draw by bottom club Conisbrough Conyers, who picked up their first point of the season.

Rhino’s, who have played two games more and have an inferior goal difference, joined FC Dunscroft at the top of the Championship table after beating Corner Pin 3-0. Alex Remy, Dean Norling and Alex Thomas all chipped in with goals.

Eden Grove (Artur Antoncyuk, Gareth Jones, Darrell Creed, Mick Sibanda) beat Auckley 4-0. An Adam Riley brace and a Jake Kennedy goal secured Finningley a 3-0 win at Stainforth. Ryan Evans weighed in with a hat-trick in AFC Rovers’ 4-2 Division One win over Park Social. Carl Blanchard also chipped in with a goal. Vinny Ogby and an own goal accounted for the Social scores.

Three Horse Shoes United crashed to a 4-0 defeat at Armthorpe. Ashley Hunter was the Pegler Sports & Social scorer in their 1-1 draw at Hatfield Celtic.

Sprotbrough had their shooting boots on when beating Carcroft Village 10-0. Jonathan Mirfin, Carl Norman, Calum Smith, Richard Smith and Craig Allen all hit a double.

Derby rivals Sprotbrough Country Club crashed 5-1 at Stag Inn, for whom Adam Watson (2), Luke Smith, Adam Slater and Russell Hardy netted. A four-goal haul by Darren Bird helped second-placed Brodsworth United claim a high-scoring 7-5 win over Carpenters Arms. Daniel Hulley, Nathan Martin and Ryan Soar also chipped in with goals. Simon Robertshaw finished up on the losing side despite grabbing a hat-trick. Gary Frobisher and Thomas Beedham also netted.

Leaders Sportsman Inter Stella remain seven points clear at the top of the table following their 4-2 win over top-four rivals Olive Tree. Dean Beardmore (2), Lee Nesbitt and Paul Preskey shared out the Stella goals with Matthew Graves and Callum Russell being the Tree scorers.

An own goal earned HPK a 1-1 draw at home to Number One Law. Aubrey Grant and James Cheswick earned Wadworth Sports a 2- 1 win at Rosehill Press (Jamie Kirsopp). Unbeaten Division Three leaders Edlington Top Club opened up a seven-point gap at the top of Division Three after beating Windmill 1-0.

David Flowitt was Glad Old Boys’ hat-trick hero in their 4-2 win at Grove Carvery. Lee Hesketh was their other scorer.

Jan Johnson and Jordan McCloy shared out the two Palfreys Lodge consolation goals in their 3-2 defeat at Tonik. Hesley had to settle for consolation goals by Ryan Hirst and Lee Pearce when crashing to a 10-2 Division Four defeat at Acorn Blinds. Andrew Gilley claimed four of the Horse & Groom goalsl in their 8-1 win over RC Motor Cycles (Michael Fryer). Nathan Blenkinsopp (2) Michael Firbank and David Surfleet also got in on the act, Goals by Brett Morton, Andrew Harriman and Carl Bingham saw White Hart Colts pip Ingram Arms (Brendan Jeffrey. Paul Richardson) 3-2.
