Scott happy at Harrad options

LOAN signing Shaun Harrad has been on Rotherham United’s radar for some time.

Manager Andy Scott said he first took note of the striker when he played in the Conference with Burton Albion.

“He’s one I’ve kept an eye on since then. He has an impressive goalscoring record at this level,” said Scott. “He’s a boost for us and he’ll give us options.”

Harrad, on loan from Bury, is in the squad for tonight’s trip to Southend, as is defender Johnny Mullins who will return after a hamstring strain for Michael Raynes who serves a one-match ban.

Southend were hopeful yesterday the game will go ahead. They have had volunteers clearing snow off the pitch covers, which have been on all week.

Rotherham were due to set off first thing this morning.
