More signings on the way for Millers
Rotherham United assistant boss John Breckin has revealed that Millers fans can expect more signings before the start of next season.
With Mark Hudson failing to agree a new contract, midfield is an area the Millers will be hoping to strengthen.
Breckin says that the club hope to bring in Hudson's replacement sooner rather than later. "We have a couple irons in the fire for midfielders," he said.
"It could be over the weekend. We hope to make an announcement by next week."
The Millers have already secured the services of joint record signing Tom Pope from Crewe Alexandra, experienced midfielder Kevin Ellison from Chester and young keeper Jamie Annerson from Sheffield United.
At the end of last season, the Millers cast their eyes over a number of trialists, including Northern Irish defender Liam McMenamin from Sheffield Wednesday.
Breckin hinted that a few trialists may be re-joining the Millers for a second look. "We're always looking to strengthen," he said. "You may see three or four of them (coming back over pre-season."
Breckin brushed off the idea that being bookies' favourites for promotion would put extra pressure on the squad.
