Moore joy at Holden's new loan deal

Rotherham United have extended the loan spell of right back Dean Holden by a further month.

He came in from Shrewsbury when neither Dale Tonge nor Johnny Mullins were available at the start of the season through injury.

Boss Ronnie Moore admits he would like to sign Holden on a permanent basis.

"We haven`t got competition there and he`s a good experienced player," he said.

Holden will not be able to play at Shrewsbury on Saturday which opens the way for fit-again Mullins who made his Millers debut in last night's 1-0 win against Lincoln in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Adam Le Fondre got the winner early in the second half, his sixth of the season, his second against Lincoln and fifth against them in the last four meetings.

Boss Ronnie Moore gave debuts to right back Johnny Mullins and Nigerian striker Jeremiah Ani whilst Jamie Annerson got a rare start in between the sticks.
