It's academic for students
DONCASTER College sports students got a kick out of playing at the town's £32m Keepmoat Stadium.
Sports students from the college played against Selby College to launch their much-awaited Football Academy, which will start in September.
The day consisted of two games, one for male students and one for females, and was organised through the college's partnership with Doncaster Rovers and the Keepmoat Stadium.
The college's deputy head of Wellbeing, Glenn Hazelhurst, said: "The students will remember playing at the stadium for the rest of their lives. Everyone at the stadium was fantastic, and I thank them for all their hard work in making this possible for our students."
Doncaster went down to an impressive Selby side 3-1 in the male game and 4-1 in the female game.
The academy offers potential students the chance to combine their academic or vocational studies with an opportunity to develop their playing and coaching skills.
