Confident Kieron aims to lift Millers
for Rotherham United’s new winger Kieron Cadogan the prospect of being sent up north from south London caused him no hesitation at all when it came to a decision.
“The gaffer showed interest in me and I was all over a move,” said Cadogan who is on loan to the end of the season from Crystal Palace.
“It comes with the territory, you go where necessary and I am more than happy to be with Rotherham.
“I just hope we can be good for each other. I want to help the club keep pushing for the play-offs and it will give me experience and the chance to learn off the players here.”
Cadogan added: “I can play either side, have pace, some tricks and want to bring all that I can of it to help the club.”
The 21-year-old was spotted by Palace at 18 playing non-league football for south London club Fisher Athletic - a club for whom Rotherham’s legendary right winger Tony Towner played after he left league football.
Cadogan played 20 times last season for Palace but has been on the fringe this time although he did play at Blackpool two weeks ago.
“He’s quick, direct and can take us up the pitch quickly which is something we need,” said Millers boss Andy Scott of the right winger.
Saturday’s opponents Torquay United will bring Brian Saah into centre defence after selling central defender Chris Robertson to Preston North End for an undisclosed fee.
Robertson, who was at Sheffield United’s Academy, has been a regular for Torquay who arrive having won their last five matches.
