ROTHERHAM United earned themselves a point after a spectacular fight back tonight, drawing 3-3 at Morecambe.
United had suffered a three goal mauling in the first 37 minutes at the breezy Lancashire resort.
Midfielder Gary McDonald had taken just three minutes to put the home side in front.
Then catastrophe appeared to loom when the Millers conceded two penalties in nine minutes, both despatched by Lawrence Wilson.
It is a big ask to come back from 3-0 down, but Rotherham scored before half time, Lewis Grabban scoring from the penalty spot.
And then they achieved the near impossible.
On 57 minutes Gareth Evans scored from the edge of the box.
And it was miraculously all square at 3-3 when Alex Revell connected from inside the penalty area, the ball sailing into to the top right corner.
It was a fascinating match - with both sides looking for maximum points in the final stages.
Andy Warrington denied Wilson’s 92nd effort to ensure a share of the points.
