Talks on hold

Have your say

STRIKERS Adam Le Fondre and Ryan Taylor have put further talks over a new contract at Rotherham United into the background.

Le Fondre says he’s is prepared to play out the remaining 18 months of his current contract. “I shall be out to do my best, score goals and try to get promotion for the club,” said Le Fondre who ended his six-game goal drought by scoring his 18th of the season in the 4-0 win over Stockport County.

“We’ll see what happens but at this moment I’m just going to play out my contract. It’s about me and my family but I can assure the fans I’ll continue to try my hardest.”

Taylor, who scored twice, has been mulling over a new club’s offer but he too is likely to wait. His current deal ends this summer.
