SKIPPER Nick Fenton returned to training yesterday to give Rotherham United a boost ahead of today’s home game with Crewe Alexandra.
The central defender missed training on Thursday with a sore back and was an initial doubt for today’s game. However, he was able to train yesterday and manager Ronnie Moore hopes there will be no reaction.
Fenton came off a few minutes from the end of the Stockport game last Saturday after a knock but had recovered to play at Port Vale on Tuesday.
Midfielder Jason Taylor is available again after a three-match ban.
Meanwhile, fellow central defender Ryan Cresswell is booked in for a scan on his injured shoulder next Tuesday.
If all has gone well he is likely to get the go-ahead to join in contact in training.
Moore says that he will still seek further defensive cover when the window for loan transfers re-opens next week.
