WITH the thin strand holding his side’s promotion hopes likely to be cut this weekend, Rotherham United manager Andy Scott will be looking closely to see if the players can show how much winning means

“I want a winning mentality at this football club, I like winning and I want to see who does what in these final two games,” said Scott.

“I know people say it’s mathematically still possible but our play-off chance has realistically gone. Now I want to see how people respond to that situation.

“There are still lots of judgements to be made on people here and assessments are being made all the time. How much better it is for everyone if we can get good results in the final two matches.”

Ryan Taylor looks set to miss out again with a back injury while Nicky Law remains a doubt as does Ian Thomas-Moore. Jamie Green could get another start.

They trained at Scott’s old club, Brentford, yesterday.
