NEW boss Andy Scott prepared for his first match in charge today by insisting that the League Two Play-offs are still viable for Rotherham United.

But he iss adamant that they have to start his reign with a win at home to Hereford United at Don Valley Stadium this afternoon.

“There are 15 points left and if we got all 15 then we’d been in there; I’d be very surprised if not,” said Scott.

“But we have to start today. Getting one win is essential and winning does give you momentum.

“It’s possible with less but I have to make an instant impact.”

Scott decided on the team after taking training yesterday having outlined his ideas and philosophy to the players when he met them for the first time the previous day.

Goalkeeper Andy Warrington is still missing with a toe injury while Johnny Mullins had the operation on his dislocated knee yesterday and is out for at least six months.
