DARREN Sarll is in the frame to become Rotherham United’s new assistant boss.

Millers manager Andy Scott is reshuffling his backroom staff and has previously worked with Sarll at Brentford.

It’s just over a fortnight since Sarll left his reserve and youth-team manager position at the Bees.

Having arrived at Griffin Park from Stevenage in the summer of 2008, Sarll recorded three top-10 finishes in the Football League Youth Alliance South East Section.

Scott parted company with coach Andy Liddell three days ago as he looks to bring in his own team. The decision ended Liddell’s two-year association with the club. However, Scott retained Paul Warne’s services. Millers P38
