STEVE Evans says he has no qualms over trying to bring in another striker after stepping up his pursuit this week.
The Rotherham United manager was in discussions over a striker at a Championship club, initially on loan and then with a fee in January.
“The chairman has had his cheque book out before, now he’s got his pen out as well,” said Evans. “People asked why I brought in another midfielder (Lee Frecklington) and now they know why. When the striker comes in, his performances will show why I’ve done it but I won’t cry if there’s no one here on Saturday.”
