Off afer only 17 minutes with an Achilles injury.

Hide AdPulled off one of the plays of the game when he got back to hook the ball off the line after Adomah’s lob had beaten Price.
BEN PURRINGTON 6
A great prospect still adjusting to the demands of the Championship. One or two unforced errors.
ANTHONY FORDE 7
Better from the right winger. More aggressive in his attacking intent and a bigger threat as a result.
TOM ADEYEMI 6
Not his best game, but a presence and his running power took him into good attacking positions.
WILL VAULKS 7

Hide AdThe midfielder spent most of the game at right-back, where he was very decent. The own goal was cruel.
JON TAYLOR 6
Ran hard and long, as he always does, and his directness bothered Villa, but his delivery was found wanting.
DANNY WARD 6
The striker looked really up for it early on but he was kept off at half-time after a knock to the head.
JERRY YATES 6
Little flashes here and there. He had a goal disallowed for a foul in the build-up. Needs to do more over 90 minutes.
Substitutes:
RICHIE SMALLWOOD 6

Replaced Ward at the break and no evidence of rustiness after two months out. Great to see the skipper back.
JOE NEWELL 5
Came on after an hour for Taylor but didn’t really impose himself.
