Rotherham United boss Steve Evans said he had no doubts about adding another striker to his squad and is a believer in strengthing when the team is in a strong position.
The addition of 21-years-old Tom Eaves, on a three month loan from Bolton, means the Millers have five central strikers in their squad with three of them being signings this season.
“I said I would always be looking to add to our squad where necessary and we were looking for someone with Tom’s attributes,” said Evans.
“I believe the time to strengthen is when you are strong. We have some top footballers here which we have managed to keep but it is essential we keep looking at our squad and what we might need and the chairman is always so very supportive.”
His side head to Walsall today protecting a seven match unbeaten league run which is the second longest unbeaten start to a season in the club’s history topped only by 11 games in 1948.
“I consider it a steady start and we can get better,” he added.
